Abigail Prade is a Dutch writer and director. She studied art history before her interest in Asia and Asian art house cinema led her to pursue directing at the graduate film program of New York University , Tisch School of the Arts Asia. There she worked in key positions on different projects shot throughout Asia. Her ultra short film Witness was selected for the 2015 Art By Chance festival and was shown at over 200 public spaces in the world. For the CinemAsia Film Festival 2016 she made the short film Ghost. The film was screened at multiple cinemas in the Netherlands. After graduating from NYU, she returned to the Netherlands and worked as an assistant and junior producer on fiction and documentary films, such as A Family Affair (2015), In Procedure (2016) and Daymohk (2018).
Future Perfect is Abigail's thesis film. The film was shot on location in Seoul, South Korea and will have its world premiere at the Netherlands Film Festival.
Abigail is currently developing the script of her first feature film and works as a freelance director & producer.
